 Information About the RFID
Technology Council
The RFID Technology Council is an Ad Hoc
organization with the mission to promote the understanding of radio
frequency identification (RFID) technologies and their impact on the
U.S. and global economy, by delivering to the general public, public
officials and industry professionals, informative, educational
events and panel discussions on RFID issues and uses. The Senate
RFID Caucus is Co-Chaired by Senators Byron Dorgan (D-ND) and John
Cornyn (R-TX). We will also educate
Members of Congress, governmental agencies and the general public on
the uses and issues relating to RFID.

Steering Committee Members
The RFID Technology Council
Steering Committee consists of all of the Charter Members and
EPCGlobal and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).
Steering Committee Duties
- Each member organization on the
Steering Committee shall appoint one representative to the
Committee.
- The Steering Committee shall
meet on an as-needed basis.
- The Steering Committee shall
decide the timing of meetings, representation, and other
administrative issues.
Membership
Membership includes, but is not limited to: Private Sector
Producers, System Integrators, Trade Associations, Academics,
Experts, End Users and others currently working in the RFID field.
Activities
The RFID Technology Council will solicit membership to the Council
and identify activities over the next year, in order to promote
one event per fiscal quarter. Each event shall be funded on
an “as needed” basis.
