The panel of experts

RFID is being used to add visibility to the supply chain to
track and trace items that are used by consumers. RFID has the
capability to guarantee that products are authentic, safe and
in the proper condition. Specific examples described in depth
by the panelists included tires, pharmaceutical and tissue
samples, and the global coffee supply chain. They discussed
the challenges facing the adoption of RFID in their markets
and what their companies are doing to educate consumers about
this family of automatic identification technologies.
