On Thursday, March 1, 2007, The RFID Technology Council hosted its first panel event, “RFID and Innovation: America’s Competitive Edge” in the U.S. Senate’s Hart Office Building for over 80 congressional staff, industry leaders, academics, and government agency representatives who were in attendance.

The RFID Technology Council’s inaugural event was designed to highlight how Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies have aided American businesses in gaining the competitive edge in our growing global economy. In areas such as supply chain management, manufacturing and identity management, RF technologies are continuing to create opportunities for American enterprise. The panel included:
